Onverwacht Cottages is well known for its accommodation for the Greyton to McGregor hike, Boesmanskloof has a few cottages and accommodation options available. All self-catering with all your basic needs, suitable for families and groups too. And it is not required that you hike from Greyton to get there. We chose the most isolated cottage which had a large patio and less wind, with an enormous view of the neighbouring town and distant hills. All the other cottage have close up views of the Skilpadkop Mountains.

There are short hikes around the property. The Circle Trail one will lead you to a delightful rock pool, with its own little cascading waterfall of fresh and delicious mountain water. Very refreshing and necessary before climbing up an extremely steep hill back to the cottages. At the top...an even more refreshing and delightful swimming pool awaits you. A wonderful spot for a sundowner and very necessary cool-down spot.

Just a 24 minute drive from the quaint little village, McGregor, where you can visit some restuarants and shops.
