Private campsite with views of the Tulbagh Valley and the absolutely spectacular mountains behind. These mountains form part of The Groot Winterhoek Wilderness Area with the Roodezandberg Mountains on the far left and Kleinpoortberg on the right, and there is nothing "klein" (small) about these enormous and beautiful mountains!  A view like this can be enjoyed in any season of the year.

Fynbos Kamp is an extremely relaxing campsite, with a fantastic open-air shower room and loo. The shower is heated with a donkey boiler, and the view from the shower is also of the mountains and valley. With a large shaded concrete area for drying, dressing, sitting, watching the sunset and star gazing. 

There is a large and serene dam about half a kilometer away. A great place to have a swim or float on tubes on a hot day, and stare at the view some more. Spending time at the dam was definitely a highlight over the weekend. Camping at De Eike gave us perfect opportunity to see big things without having to move much, much like staring out at the ocean. Making time to take it easy enables the mind to wonder without the distraction of little things,
