Robberg Hike, Plettenberg Bay
Point Circle Trail, Robberg Nature Reserve
Plettenberg Bay, Garden Route, Western Cape
Scenic hike along the coastline, a moderate circle trail. Rated 6/10. Although most of the trail in on paths and walk ways, there is some rock rambling and a lot of stairs you will need to climb, especially towards the end. A lot of stairs.
The start of the trail is on well built walk-way but as you get closer to the point, it crosses over beaches and rocks, you can view seals down below the cliffs. An extraordinary trail that could be done with little to no experience...just be prepared for rocks and stairs. Well worth doing the hike, if you are in the area. You will need to check the weather before hand. Wild Gallivanting uses Weather YR.
The final stretch is onto and enormous and breathtaking beach, we were hot and tired so jumped into an extremely ice cold ocean for a refresher, before heading back up the hill to the pathways.
